On the 1st of January every year, the Pasadena Rose bowl parade takes place and for 1 week before hand, hundreds of volunteers flock to help decorate the huge floral floats that glide through the city of Pasadena.
The parade lasts around 5 hours and every float is covered in floral and natural materials. Each company who exhibits chooses a theme and the floral designers get together to execute it.
Wendy was invited to fly to LA to be a part of a floral team who decorated 2 floats to commemorate the 9/11 atrocity in New York. It was a very emotional week and Wendy felt very privileged to be a part of something so very moving
